About
Reaching out for therapy can feel unfamiliar, and sometimes even uncomfortable, especially if you’re used to handling things on your own. You might be used to being the responsible one, the one others rely on, or the one who keeps things together even when it feels overwhelming internally.
Many of the people I work with are navigating anxiety, stress, or life transitions while also balancing cultural expectations, family responsibilities, and their own identity. You may feel caught between different expectations—who you are at home, who you are outside of it, and who you’re still trying to figure out for yourself.
It’s common to feel pressure to succeed, to meet expectations, or to avoid disappointing others, while at the same time feeling unsure of what you actually want or need. These experiences can show up as overthinking, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or a sense of feeling stuck.
My Approach
My approach is collaborative, practical, and paced in a way that feels comfortable for you. Together, we’ll explore patterns in your thoughts and behaviours, build coping skills, and create space for reflection so you can better understand yourself and move forward with more clarity and confidence.
Who I am
As a Chinese Canadian therapist, I understand how culture and family dynamics can shape the way we think about responsibility, success, and emotional expression. My goal is to offer a space where you don’t have to explain or justify those experiences—they’re already understood.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. If you’re feeling ready to explore what’s been weighing on you, I’m here to support you.
